Market analysis of foreign direct investment and portfolio investment in Ukraine

Abstract
The article investigates the questions of the role and influence of foreign direct investments and portfolio investments upon the country's economic growth. On the basis of the relevant data of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the National Bank of Ukraine, the National Securities Commission and Stock Market of Ukraine an analysis of the market of foreign direct investment and portfolio investments in Ukraine is carried out. It analyses the state of domestic market investment infrastructure, in particular the circle of investment capital donors in Ukraine and countries recipient’s and sender’s of domestic capital; besides it highlights its strengths and weaknesses, as well as the advantages and disadvantages. Based on the results a number of recommendations for enhancing foreign investment for the realization of the main strategic objectives of socio-economic development of Ukraine are generated.
