Marketing analysis of modern market of drug with softening and protective action

Abstract
The pharmaceutical market of dermatological preparations has up to 300 names (including all dosage forms), which is made more than 50 foreign companies, among them – 10 producers from Russia, Belarus, Estonia and 12 domestic enterprises. However, most of the assortment are imported drugs. In Ukraine there is an uneven distribution of production of dermatological drugs by their application. Therefore, marketing research of drugs provide an opportunity to identify vacant niches to fill a certain range. The aim of the work was a detailed study of drugs of D07 «Corticosteroids for use in dermatology». Materials – official sources of information about drugs registered in Ukraine. Methods: сitation, marketing, statistical and graphical. Analysis of the data of the State registration of drugs with softening and protective action, used at treatment of calluses and corns in respect of manufacturers showed that the major share of the range form the products of domestic pharmaceutical companies. The ratio of drugs trade names of domestic and foreign production is 70,6% to 29,4%. In the investigated range of drugs with the softening and protective action 59% of the total amount are ointment, 17% – creams, and 12% solutions and emulsions for topical administration. It should be noted that during the period 2007–2014 years all drugs of studied group showed an increase in average wholesale selling prices. The general trend of increasing prices can be explained by currency fluctuations and specificity of the domestic production of medicines based on the application in the production of imported substances.
