Matched Pairs Models
Journal Title: International Journal of Innovation in Science and Mathematics - Year 2018, Vol 6, Issue 1
Abstract
Matched pairs data can always arise from measuring a response at two variables on different level and it presented in square contingence table way, where the variables have the same category levels. This paper presents a non-convention approach for the analysis of two dimensional tables, when responses are ordered categories. Two variables are considered, and the analysis is done using data compiled from student records, college of science, King AbdulAziz University (2009/2010). The models of symmetry and marginal homogeneity are examined. To link the two models, the concepts of quasi-symmetry, ordinal quasi-symmetry are introduced. The parametric representation of the models is discussed. The expected cell values under the four models are estimated by maximum likelihood methods. A way of looking on the notion of marginal homogeneity conditional on the models of symmetry and quasi-symmetry, and on the models symmetry and ordinal quasi-symmetry being true are presented. Various relationships under models are reached. The related asymptotic distribution under marginal homogeneity is chi-square distribution.

Some Common Fixed Point theorems for Weakly Compatible Mappings in Complex Valued Rectangular Metric space
In this paper we introduce some common fixed point theorems for weakly compatible mappings under contractive type conditionin complex valued rectangular metric space. Moreover, we give some illustrative examples which...
An Investigation and Research on the Current Situation of the Teaching Skills of Young Mathematics Teachers
The development of education is the top priority of the national development. Teachers play an important role in education, and the growth of young teachers is the key to the construction of teaching staff. Although youn...
On the Missing Link between Cosmology and Biology
The present short letter provides some rational speculative arguments based on mathematical facts linking cosmology with biology in a relevant new way, shedding light on the beginnings of life.
Total Volume Flux from Mass Conservation in Equations of Motion on a Disk / Plate Surface
We look at mass conservation in equations of motion on a disk/plate surface. u/v, u/r, w are functions of z where (u, v, w) are velocity components of r, theta and z or (r, theta, z) in cylindrical coordinate system with...
A Mean Flow Equation and Solution Problem
Picture a function U(2h) = 0. Y = h and U(0) = 0. Symmetric flow implies the following: The only non-zero term is – rho u_1u_2 bar which depends on x_2 = y. Also, Where P of Omega is mean pressure at walls, u_2 = 0 by no...
