Mathematical Model of Dengue Disease Transmission Dynamics with Control Measures
Journal Title: Journal of Advances in Mathematics and Computer Science - Year 2017, Vol 23, Issue 3
Abstract
Dengue disease is a mosquito-borne infectious tropical disease caused by the dengue viruses of four serotypes, DEN 1 - DEN 4. It is transmitted between people by the bite of female adult Aedes mosquitoes. In the present work, we study a vector host epidemic model of dengue disease by considering control measures of the disease. The aim of the study is to observe the eects of control measures on the dengue disease development. Explicit formula for the metric, basic reproduction number R0 is obtained using Next Generation Matrix method. Stability of the disease free equilibrium and sensitivity analysis of model's parameters are discussed in terms of basic reproduction number. It is observed that the disease free equilibrium is locally and globally stable when R0 < 1 and unstable when R0 > 1. Numerical results are carried out to illustrate the impact of control measures in the disease transmission.

Aims/ objectives: We have analyzed the parasitic infections, and the population dynamics of Biomphalaria tenagophila snails. The population under study lives in water bodies formed by tributaries of the river Arias in th...
Effects of Radiation and Chemical Reaction on MHD Unsteady Heat and Mass Transfer of Casson Fluid Flow Past a Vertical Plate
Effects of radiation and chemical reaction on MHD unsteady heat and mass transfer of Casson fluid flow past a vertical plate has been studied in this paper. The model equations are transformed into non-dimensional form b...
A Comparative Analysis of Jellyfish Attacks and Black Hole Attack with Selfish Behavior Attack under AODV Routing Protocol
The applications of mobile adhoc network (MANET) are increasing day-by-day due to the flexibility they provide to seamless communication. However MANETS are vulnerable to number of attacks because of properties like non-...
Coverage Probability of the Credible Interval and Credible Probability of the Condence Interval of the Hierarchical Normal Model
It is well known that the coverage probability of a given nominal level condence interval and the credible probability of a given nominal level credible interval will attain the nominal level. Moreover, it is commonly b...
Viscosity Approximation Methods in Reexive Banach Spaces
In this paper, we study viscosity approximation methods in reexive Banach spaces. Let X be a re exive Banach space which admits a weakly sequentially continuous duality mapping j : X ! X, C a nonempty closed convex subs...
