MEANDERS OF INDEPENDENT PUBLIC HEALTH CARE INSTITUTIONS RESTRUCTURING

Abstract
The main purpose of the article is to present restructuring assumptions. The knowledge of restructuring kinds and methods seems to be only a prerequisite to finding useful and effective solutions. The restructuring of independent public health care institutions (in 2005-2010) is caused by excessive liabilities and the need to keep a stable employment level. The act of medicinal activity binding since July 1st 2011 defines debt ratios. In the case of high level of liabilities the act imposes transforming an independent public health care institution into a company. The author presents the debt ratios on given health care institutions in Lower Silesia region as at the end of 2011. Moreover, the article offers a compendium of good practices within medicinal organizations. The so-called meanders of restructuring in the public sector are all the difficulties in the process of keeping both good liquidity ratio and a stable employment level.
