MEASUREMENT DATA PROCESSING WITH THE USE OF ART NETWORKS
Journal Title: Civil and Environmental Engineering Reports - Year 2018, Vol 2, Issue 28
Abstract
ART (Adaptive Resonance Theory) networks were invented in the 1990s as a new approach to the problem of image classification and recognition. ART networks belong to the group of resonance networks, which are trained without supervision. The paper presents the basic principles for creating and training ART networks, including the possibility of using this type of network for solving problems of predicting and processing measurement data, especially data obtained from geodesic monitoring. In the first stage of the process of creating a prediction model, a preliminary analysis of measurement data was carried out. It was aimed at detecting outliers because of their strong impact on the quality of the final model. Next, an ART network was used to predict the values of the vertical displacements of points of measurement and control networks stabilized on the inner and outer walls of an engineering object.

The occurence of mites (Acari) on walls infested with moulds in dwelling houses
Moulds and mites, a serious allergenic threat, are present in dwelling buildings with mycological biodeterioration. The problem becomes even more serious if among allergenic fungi there are species which are mycotoxicoge...
ANALYSIS OF CHANGES TO STEEL FOOTBRIDGE GEOMETRY WITHIN 25 YEARS IN SERVICE
Identification of the technical condition of bridge structures should be supplemented by determination of structural displacements in relation to the adopted frame of reference and measurement of changes to the geometry...
GLACIOTECTONICALLY DEFORMED LIGNITE DEPOSITS IN THE AREA BETWEEN ŁAGÓWEK AND SIENIAWA, WESTERN POLAND
The Sieniawa Lignite Mine, situated between Łagówek and Sieniawa in western Poland, has been operating for nearly 150 years. This territory was strongly affected by the Scandinavian ice sheets during the Pleistocene. The...
Comparison of the calculation results of heat exchange between a single-family building and the ground obtained with the quasi-stationary and 3-d transient models. Part 1: continuous heating mode
The paper provides comparative results of calculations of heat exchange between ground and typical residential buildings using simplified (quasi-stationary) and more accurate (transient, three-dimensional) methods. Such...
Sobieski palace in Lublin after the assessment of the existing condition. Restoration and modernization project
The Palace, situated in Bernardyńska Street in Lublin, has a checkered history – it was, among others, mentioned in the vetting in 1661; then it was the Sobieski family's property for about 100 years. In the subsequent p...
