MECHANICAL PROPERTIES AND CHARACTERISTICS OF NATURAL FIBER-A REVIEW PAPER
Journal Title: World Journal of Engineering Research and Technology - Year 2017, Vol 3, Issue 5
Abstract
The need of friendly environmental materials has been enforced highly in the engineering field, the very good alternative materials for synthetic fibers for automotive and aircraft fields without much compromising the mechanical and chemical properties. This review paper provides the clear view on mechanical properties like tensile strength, flexural strength and vibration characteristics as per ASTM standards. This review paper reveals the properties of hybrid materials with different modulus of elasticity which will be a viable beneficial solution for structural applications.

SUSTAINABLE STONE EXTRACTION FOR USING AS CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL AND SUITABILITY PROPERTIES: CASE STUDY OF KOTRE QUARRY OF NEPAL
All Level of government is yet to formulate legal practice of sustainable extraction and uses of stone resources in only a few parts of the Nepal, and there are few or no guidelines for the extraction and uses of natural...
DEVELOPMENT OF CuO SORBENT MATERIALS SUPPORTED ON METAL OXIDES AND CLAYS APPLIED TO FLUE GAS DESULFURIZATION
In the present work, CuO-based sorbent materials supported on tonsil and bentonite were prepared and evaluated for flue gas desulfurization using thermogravimetry. Results were compared to sorbents supported on commercia...
USE OF WOOD AS COMPRESSIVE REINFORCEMENT IN CONCRETE
A total of forty-two test specimens of wood, pure concrete and concrete-wood cubes of dimensions – 0.15m x 0.15m x 0.15m were made and tested for their compressive strengths. Six tests were for pure concrete. Another six...
EXPECTED NUMBER OF LEVEL CROSSINGS OF A RANDOM ORTHOGONAL POLYNOMIAL
This paper provides number of zeros of a class of orthogonal polynomial which is a sequence of mutually independent, normally distributed random variables with mean zero and variance unity then the average number of zero...
