MECHANICAL PROPERTIES IDENTIFICATION OF STEEL WIRE ROPE WITH FIBER CORE

Abstract

Issues taken in this article, are devoted to the identification of the mechanical properties of the wire rope. The starting point was to carry out the necessary laboratory tests, which were carried out at the The Research and Supervisory Centre of Underground Mining Co. Ltd in Mysłowice-Brzezinka. Stress tests were performed on a specialized testing machine. Test were performed as repeatedly loading and unloading the rope with different safety factors. On the basis of the recorded experimental results, characteristics of strength and displacement were made, which was the basis for identifying the energy dissipation coefficient and static characteristics.
