Mercosur-European Union Agreement: between reality and discourse. Impacts and Perspectives

Abstract
This article aims to analyze the economic and liberalization deal between the Mercado Comum do Sul (Mercosul) and the European Union (EU) that has been discussed and negotiated for over a decade without ever reaching a common ground in the proposes and interests of the parts in question. Thus, the signature has been postponed until nowadays. During this text we approach the possible gains and vantages of the deal for the South American economic bloc through the analyzes of the proposes, official declarations and other important sources of information to observe the positive and/or negative impacts as the possible perspectives for the bloc, with emphasis in the Brazilian economy, in case of a resolution.
