METHOD FOR CLASSIFICATION OF ULTRASOUND THYROID IMAGES BY DECISION TREE INDUCTION

Abstract
The article presents a method for classification of ultrasound thyroid images. This method allows to classify the analyzed cases as sick and healthy. It also allows to separate fairly large group of incorrectly classified cases. According to the authors, this group may include characteristics of the early stage of Hashimoto's disease. Decision tree induction has been used to build a classification model. Test results showed that the proposed method can provide a starting point to build a support system in the process of medical diagnosis.<br/><br/>
