Methodical aspects of determining the level of economic security of enterprise

Abstract

The aim of the research is to highlight the methodological aspects of determining the level of economic security of an enterprise and the specifics of the mechanism for managing this process. As a result of this research, the main indicators that influence the level of economic security of an enterprise in a non-stable market environment are determined. This makes it possible to propose an integral criterion for the level of economic security. The scheme of calculation of integral index of economic safety of the enterprise is offered. The algorithm for analyzing the components of the economic security of an enterprise was developed on the basis of determining the structure of negative factors for each component of economic security, determining the factors that were involved by the enterprise at the time of assessing the level of safety and assessing the effectiveness of the activities involved, in terms of neutralizing specific negative factors for each of the functional components, a set of recommendations for the elimination of existing non-significant factors of influence and assessment of the cost of each proposed action to eliminate negative influences. The technique for determining the specific weight of the functional components of the economic security of an enterprise is proposed. It is determined that the amount of investment needed to ensure the economic security of an enterprise is in accordance with the actions of the internal block of the mechanism to ensure the necessary level of economic security. It is shown that the minimum level of economic security has to ensure the profitable industrial and economic activity of an enterprise. This approach to the determination of economic security is justified by the fact that the source of economic security of the enterprise is the profit obtained as a result of the interaction of the enterprise from the subjects of the external environment, that is, as a result of observing the interests of the enterprise, the higher the level of observance of the interests of the enterprise, the greater the amount of profit received by the enterprise. Ensuring the level of economic security of an enterprise and its interpretation depend on the competition in the branch where the enterprise operates. This happens because the lower the level of competition in the market or in the branch, the higher the level of economic security of the enterprise, and vice versa, the higher the level of competition, the lower the level of security of the enterprise, since significant investments are needed to maintain security.
