Abstract
The place that holds the system of professional development of teachers of natural sciences in Ukraine’s meta-system of education is defined. The tendencies and regularities that have an impact on this system are characterized. The complex of principles that will ensure effective organization of the system of professional development of teachers of natural sciences in postsecondary education is formulated.
