Methodologıcal searches ın Azerbaıjan lıterary crıtıcısm (1960–1990)

Abstract
The article provides a brief review of the path of literary criticism defined by the great thinker M.F. Akhundzade. In particular, the article reviews the main priorities of criticism, starting from the 60s-70s and up to nowadays. It also provides a mutual comparison of marxist, nihilistic tendencies in literary criticism of Azerbaijan, and investigates the theoretical basis of the process of getting rid of the old stereotypes of literary criticism after independence. It should be noted that the main topic of the article covers such issues as the reorganization of the methodological basis of criticism and literary criticism in Azerbaijan in the conditions of the national independence, overcoming the consequences of the literary principles of the creative method of socialist realism, as well as the formation of national self-awareness, and focusing on the national background of thinking in the humanities. One of the important issues in this article is the identification of the specific features of the application in the humanities of the Azerbaijanism ideology, put forward by our national leader Heydar Aliyev. The article cites the achievements of the literary critics of Azerbaijan, such as Yashar Garayev, Elchin Efendiyev, Shamil Salmanov, Bekir Nabiyev and others, in creating a new vision for the development of this direction in Azerbaijani literature.
