METHODS AND CRITERIA FOR THE ESTIMATION OF RISKS IN TOURISM

Abstract
The article deals with methodological approaches and criteria for risk assessment in tourism. The main methods of risk assessment, recommended by industry international organizations and offered by the leading specialists of the branch, are analyzed. The expediency of forming a system of definite detailed criteria for risk assessment and forming a complex indicator for accurate quantitative risk identification in the tourism industry is substantiated. The necessity of introducing the concept of acceptable risk at tourist enterprises is established. Involvement of the efforts of heads of structural divisions of enterprises of tourist business and personnel to reduce the risk to an acceptable level.
