METHODS IN STRUCTURE FORMATION OF A WORK OF ART

Abstract
The article deals with William Faulkner’s trilogy “The Hamlet”, “The Town”, “The Mansion” and Valeriy Shevchukʼs “The Path in the Grass. Zhytomyr Saga” according to the usage of Faulkner’s mosaic method of creating literary world. The comparative analysis of two prose writers’ poetics has been done and it gives some material for describing typological resemblances and literary differences. Faulkner’s mosaic method of creating fiction world has been shown. Temporary shifts, explanations of phenomena and events using different perspectives, which generate and deepen stylistics, and promote creating inner tense movements have been demonstrated.
