Metropolitalne organy władzy w Kodeksie Prawa Kanonicznego z 1983 roku

Abstract
Kodeks Prawa Kanonicznego z 1983 r. reguluje pojęcie prowincji kościelnej, która jest zespołem sąsiednich Kościołów partykularnych. Celem utworzenia prowincji kościelnej jest wspólne działanie pasterskie oraz ożywianie kontaktów między biskupami diecezjalnymi. Organami władzy w prowincji kościelnej są: metropolita oraz synod prowincjalny, będący zgromadzeniem biskupów i innych przedstawicieli poszczególnych Kościołów partykularnych, wchodzących w skład tej samej prowincji kościelnej.
