Niniejszy artykuł poświęcony jest analizie i ocenie działalności międzynarodowych sądów karnych, w sposób szczególny międzynarodowym trybuna-łom karnym ad hoc dla byłej Jugosławii i Rwandy oraz stałemu Międzynarodowemu Trybunałowi Karnemu, z perspektywy wpływu ich aktywności, w postaci wydanych wyroków i podjętych inicjatyw na rzecz ochrony praw człowieka we współczesnych stosunkach międzynarodowych
