Abstract
The classification of enviromental pollution effects by Kazimierz Górka and Bazyli Poskrobko presented in the article is the fullest systematics of the economic losses in Poland. On the basis of this classification we have elaborated on the place of highway-engineering and transport losses among indirect losses caused by anthropogenic environmental loading. Indirect effects have a character of economic (measurable) and social (immeasurable or hardly measurable) losses. Apart from the humane aspect the degradation of environmental components has an economic aspect.
