MOBILE DIRECT-PROSPECTING TECHNOLOGIES: SOME RESULTS OF THEIR APPLICATION FOR OIL AND GAS SEARCHING WITHIN OFFSHORE
Journal Title: Geologia i poleznye iskopaemye mirovogo okeana - Year 2018, Vol 14, Issue 3
Abstract
The results of mobile and direct-prospecting methods using for the prospects of oil and gas potential estimating of a local site in the land-sea transition zone, as well as search blocks within offshore in different regions of the globe, are analyzed. Experimental studies were carried out using the frequency-resonance method of satellite images processing (first and second stages) and geoelectric methods of the forming a short-pulsed electromagnetic field (FSPEF) and vertical electric-resonance sounding (VERS) (third stage). Based on the results of satellite images processing, anomalous zones of the «hydrocarbon reservoir» type were identified within the surveyed areas for detailed studies. The most optimal locations for the prospecting well were determined. Non-productive wells, drilled within two search blocks on the offshore, do not fall into the contours of the mapped anomalies of the «hydrocarbon deposits» type. The conducted studies demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness of the direct-prospecting technology (frequency-resonance method of satellite images processing and FSPEF and VERS geoelectric methods) during the hydrocarbon accumulations searching in the offshore, as well as in the land-sea transition zone.
