Tourist behavior in destinations is a relevant factor in tourism planning and territorial management, seeking to generate economic development processes aligned with environmental, social and cultural sustainability. In this sense, the present investigation sought to evaluate the key factors that influence the civilized behavior of tourists in the context of tourism in Villa de Leyva, through the model of planned behavior. 287 people between the ages of 18 and 76 participated. The methodology of confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling was addressed, the results show that the model has adequate fit indices, CFI 0.99, TLI 0.98, RMSEA 0.037. In addition, it shows that both attitudes and perceived behavioral control positively and significantly influence the intention of civilized behavior in the context of tourism in Villa de Leyva.
