MODELING AND SIMULATION RESEARCH OF A HYDRAULIC STABILITY SYSTEM FOR VECHICLE

Abstract

The paper presents the modeling and stability simulation tests of conceptual design of mobile working machine. By design the machine has to move on a muddy and uneven terrain with variable mechanical properities. The drive consists of three wheels arranged in series along the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. For the stability responsible is the pair of side wheels supporting on the shoulders and connected to the vehicle frame. The authors presented in the article the problems and different variants of a conceptual machinery to ensure stability during movement. For the simulation tests selectedsystem with telescopic arms. Adjust the lenght of the arms is achieved by hydraulic actuators. Hydraulic actuator was used because of its advantage, which is the ability to move very large forces and perform linear motion over a wide speed range. Mechanical and hydraulic system was designed for this solution, and physical model which has been simplified, and last model became basic for simulation studies of stability of the vehicle. The results represent the behaviour of the system for differenr speeds of movement and changes in terrain profile. For the simulation experiments used a Matlab/Simuling software.
