Моделювання взаємозв’язку структурних перетворень та динаміки економік регіонів України / Modeling relationship between structural changes and dynamics of regional economies of Ukraine

Abstract
У статті протестовано гіпотези про наявність впливу структури економіки регіонів на темпи росту економік і величину валового регіонального продукту на душу населення. Для проведення тестування гіпотези використовуються економетричні моделі панельних даних з фіксованими ефектами. Моделі побудовано на основі даних Державної служби статистики за 2003—2013 роки. Одержані результати свідчать про суттєво впливу структурного фактору на варіацію динаміки економік регіонів України у досліджуваний період. The paper tested hypothesis of the presence of the impact of the economic structure of regions in the pace of growth and the value of the gross regional product per capita. For testing the hypothesis, we use econometric panel data models with fixed effects. Models are based on data of the State Statistics Service for the years 2003-2013. Results of model showed that GRP growth rate closely and inversely related to changes in the economic structure of the regions of Ukraine. Thus it can be argued that during the 2003–2013 there was a suboptimal reallocation of labor and capital across sectors and economic activities, which has become a factor of inhibition of growth of regional economies. The process of diversification (or concentration) did not affect regional economies during the period in GRP growth, as evidenced by the presence of insignificant impact assessment Herfindal-Hirschman index dynamics indicated.
