MODELLING SOURVEY OF WATER CONDITIONS CHANGES IN THE MACZKI-BÓR SAND PIT AREA WITH REGARD TO ITS PLANNED LIQUIDATION
Journal Title: Biuletyn Państwowego Instytutu Geologicznego - Year 2012, Vol 451, Issue 451
Abstract
Numerical model of the hydrodynamic conditions in the Maczki-Bór sand pit space encompass an area of about 15,3 km[sup]2[/sup]. The survey was fulfilled on a single layer hydrogeological model reconstructed with Processing MODFLOW Pro v. 7 software. Model calibration and verification was carried out with regard to the quaternary groundwater table measured in piezometers and amount of groundwater drained by the mine. Based on the results of the survey simulation of changes in the hydrodynamic system (resulting from planned closure of mining operations and forming water reservoir within the field Bór-Wschód) was accomplished.
