Abstract
The article deals with theoretical aspects of the modern educational technologies usage for students’ independent work at higher educational institutions. Examples of the most common learning tools, their advantages and disadvantages are provided. The analysis of the main characteristics of various teaching methods is presented. Relevance of further research of this problem and prospects of realization of this approach is indicated.
