Journal Title: Біль. Суглоби. Хребет - Year 2014, Vol 1, Issue 14

Abstract

We have investigated the clinical efficacy and safety of 4070 transforaminal epidural blocks with steroids under intermittent control of computed tomography for the treatment of vertebrogenic pain of any location in 1258 patients. In 93.5 % of cases there was achieved positive treatment outcome. Minor transient complications which were successfully managed or didn’t require specific treatment occurred in 4.1 % of patients. Analysis of results of using intermittent CT-controlled transforaminal epidural and other blocks with steroids for the treatment of vertebrogenic pain in the outpatient setting allows you to talk about their high clinical efficacy and safety.
