MODERN TRENDS OF DEVELOPMENT OF GLOBAL BANKS IN THE CONTEXTOF FINANCIAL GLOBALIZATION

Abstract
States that the dominant factor in world development in the last three decades, becoming financial globalization, which has become systemic. Discloses the essence and features of financial globalization at the present stage, showing its positive and negative effects. Highlights the most significant manifestations of globalization in the financial sector, affecting establishment and development of national banking systems in the transitive conditions. In particular, among them considered the consolidation of financial institutions and transnationalization of banking. Specific statistics illustrate the scale of mergers and acquisitions in the global financial space, presents the main trends in this field in the region of Central and Eastern Europe and the CIS countries. The meaning and motives transnationalization banking activities considered as a process of expanding international business and banks to move beyond national borders of individual countries in this process. Delineated thechanges taking placein this processandinfluence the development ofnational banking systems. Identified a number of uncertainties that accompany the post-crisis state of these systems. Identified significant changes observed in the alignment of forces in the global financial market. Analyzed the ratings of the largest banks in the world, held in the financial world reputable institutions and publications. Attention is accentedon building thepowerof banking institutionsin developingcountries, especially China, India, Singapore, Indonesia and others. Emphasized the rapid growth of Islamic banking. Been recorded a marked decline in economic development parameters transnational banks due to the global financial and economic crisis. Presents a holistic picture of the state of the global banking system in the years of crisis and post-crisis period.
