MODIFIED GINI INDEX CLASSIFICATION: A CASE STUDY OF HEART DISEASE DATASET
Journal Title: International Journal on Computer Science and Engineering - Year 2010, Vol 2, Issue 6
Abstract
Classification has been used for predicting medical diagnosis. Classification methods can handle both numerical and categorical attributes. Gini index uses the method which biases multivalued attributes. When the number of classes are large, and the biases are increased, the Gini-based decision tree method is modified to overcome the known problems, by normalizing the Gini indexes by taking into account information about the splitting status of all attributes. Instead of using the Gini index for attribute selection ratios of Gini indexes are used and their splitting values in order to reduce the biases. Experiments are done on heart diseases dataset and Report of experimental graph is shown by comparing between the modified method and other known classification algorithms ID3, c4.5, Generalized Gini Index classifies relevant parts into various groups

EFFICIENT ALGORITHM FOR MINING FREQUENT ITEMSETS USING CLUSTERING TECHNIQUES
Now a days, Association rule plays an important role. The purchasing of one product when another product is purchased represents an association rule. The Apriori algorithm is the basic algorithm for mining association ru...
Optimization of Association Rule Mining through Genetic Algorithm
Strong rule generation is an important area of data mining. In this paper we design a novel method for generation of strong rule. In which a general Apriori algorithm is used to generate the rules after that we use the o...
Classifying Emotion in News Sentences: When Machine Classification Meets Human Classification
Multiple emotions are often evoked in readers in response to text stimuli like news article. In this paper, we present a method for classifying news sentences into multiple emotion categories. The corpus consists of 1000...
