MONITORING FINANCIAL ASPECT IN THE PROCESS OF IMPROVING QUALITY OF MEDICAL SERVICES – PROPOSED METHODOLOGY FOR HOSPITALS

Abstract

This article focuses on the nature and importance of monitoring the financial aspect in the process of improving the quality of medical services. Author, in the paper take considerations about the methodology for measuring the quality of hospital environment. The financial aspect was empha-sized as a key to creating favorable conditions for realization of the mission and goals for which health-care institutions were established. The article shows the types of internal financial analyzes according to three criteria: time, adopted the test method and the degree of research details. Author presents examples of indicators to measure the financial aspect in quality assessment of medical services provided by hospitals (as a result of research conducted by the author in several hospitals).
