Journal Title: Актуальна інфектологія - Year 2013, Vol 1, Issue 1
Abstract
The article deals with the study of the principles of diagnosis of bacterial meningitis in children and morphological disorders, depending on the duration of the disease and the type of pathogen. We identified clinical and morphological characteristics of the clinical course of purulent meningitis in children depending on the belonging of the etiological factor to gram-positive or gram-negative flora. Morphologic study of children who died of meningitis found that in most cases, along with the lesion of the meninges, we observed pathological changes in the brain substance in the absence of clinical signs of encephalitis.
