Abstract
La educación emocional, es considerada un elemento condicionante para el desarrollo humano, y con ella a su vez en los docentes, es un compromiso para ayudar al enriquecimiento de diversas habilidades personales y sociales de los alumnos en los primeros años escolarizados. La investigación se realizó en un Jardín de Niños, cuyo objetivo fue actualizar a las educadoras con un taller de educación emocional. Se aplicaron entrevistas focalizadas a docentes. Los resultados muestran cambios en las conductas de los alumnos. Por lo anterior es posible considerar la necesidad de fortalecer el trayecto de cursos optativos que propone la malla curricular del Plan de estudios 2012, de la Licenciatura en Educación Preescolar en educación emocional..
