Multi Binary Turbo Coded WOFDM Performance in Flat Rayleigh Fading Channels
Journal Title: Acta Technica Napocensis- Electronica-Telecomunicatii (Electronics and Telecommunications) - Year 2008, Vol 49, Issue 3
Abstract
In this paper, the application of Multi Binary Turbo Codes (MBTCs) to two multicarrier modulation techniques used for transmission in the flat radio fading channel is studied. Thus, the performance of the coded versions of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) and of its wavelets based version (WOFDM) is evaluated under several simulation scenarios. These scenarios take into account the time variability of the radio channel, by the mean of the Doppler shift parameter. An important conclusion is that, under the assumptions made in this paper, WOFDM outperforms OFDM. By the other hand, this technique shows little influence on the choice of the wavelets mother used in the modulator.

A VLSI Implementation of a New Low Voltage 4th Order Differential Gm-C Band-Pass Filters For Different Approximation In CMOS Technology
In this paper we present a new low voltage 4th order differential Gm-C band-pass filter (BPF) for different approximations (Butterworth or Chebyshev), which has been designed in CMOS technology. This differential BPF is...
A Neural Network Implementation On FPGA For Ecological Monitoring
In this paper, we present an implementation of an artificial neural network (ANN) for predicting blooms (coloured waters) of a species of toxic phytoplankton called Dinophysis acumunata that prevalent in coastal of Havr...
A Novel End-To-End QoS Framework Over Heterogeneous Networks - An Architectural Approach
End-to-end QoS (Quality of Service) provisioning over heterogeneous networks is a major challenge. The poor communication between Service Providers, the increasing complexity of the supported services, the need for fulfi...
The Improvement of the Wavelet Analysis Techniques by Using B-SPLINE Functions Family
The goal of this paper is to justify the use of fractional B-spline bases in several Wavelet Analysis Techniques. We are interested in better controlling the differentiation behavior of the wavelet. For that purpose, we...
Novel Current Line Sensor Based On Matched Optocouplers For Active Power Factor Correction
This paper presents a novel line current sensor which allows safe and accurate data acquisition for power factor measurements: it uses a pair of matched optocouplers arranged so that the difference between their outputs...
