Multi-scale Image Fusion Based on Invariant Moments
Journal Title: International Research Journal of Applied and Basic Sciences - Year 2017, Vol 11, Issue 2
Abstract
Image fusion is the process of integrating two or more images into a multispectral image, in which the achieved fused image includes both the high resolution spatial information of the image and the color information of the multispectral image. Wavelet transformation is a mathematical tool for signal processing which a lot of attention has been recently to it. Wavelet based image fusion methods have been reasonably effective in combining perceptually important image features. The other tool which should be utilized for image fusion is the features of the images. This step can help detecting pixel by pixel of the images regions with more accuracy and can be performed by different features. One of the robust features in image processing is invariant moments. invariant moments are a set of feature vectors which are invariant under shifting, rotation and scaling. This approach can be used to extract the global features for pattern recognition due to their discrimination power and robustness. The fusion method based on the above invariant moments and wavelet integration concept is employed in this paper. Final results show that the proposed method has a better efficiency in comparison with recent proposed techniques.

Seismic behavior evaluation of drilling foothills’ effect on tunnel maintenance system using numerical modeling
Dynamic stresses caused by seismic waves are added to static stresses existing in tunnel lining or underground space and its surrounding rocks. Increasing stresses raise the probability of crushing and peeling state in u...
