MULTIMODAL SUGGESTIVE PSYCHOTHERAPEUTIC INFLUENCE: STRATEGY CHARACTERISTICS
Journal Title: Psychological journal - Year 2018, Vol 4, Issue 8
Abstract
The main modalities of the suggestive psychotherapeutic influence are considered in the paper, also it is demonstrated their connection with the general strategy of the Multimodal Suggestive Psychotherapy. It is shown that the multimodal suggestive influence is an effective complex system of psychotherapeutic aid for humans with mental and behavioral deviations. There are specified the following modalities of the suggestive psychotherapeutic influence: «mental status», «cognitive processes», «state of soma», «reflex impulses-actions», «actual needs», «overcoming strategies». It is found that evaluation of these modalities allows to vector psychotherapeutic sessions and to choose certain techniques of the suggestive influence. The directivity and content of basic suggestions in the Multimodal Suggestive Psychotherapy are also determined. Suggestion of an idea of psychotherapeutic personal ideal lifestyle is considered as a specific one. It is shown that at the behavioral level the psychotherapeutic personal ideal lifestyle is manifested in an individually comfortable level of client’s social activity and the kept full contact with reality. It is illustrated that to reach the level of personal ideal lifestyle the client should learn the use of some basic principles of adaptive intellection. It is based on the ideas-principles of continuous changeability, interdependence, relativity, irreversibility, self-organization and dynamic equilibrium. These ideas-principles make the basis for developing behavioral rules and formation of an adaptive «world view». Psychotherapeutic confrontational suggestion is the key method of the multimodal suggestive psychotherapeutic influence. This technique allows to destroy rigid dysfunctional cognitive formations and to create conditions for adaptogenic transformation of intellection. It is shown that during each psychotherapeutic session it is necessary to appraise a client by means of the basic modalities of suggestive psychotherapeutic influence. In result of such appraisal the “problem profile” and the field of a client’s future development can be determined. This profile sets the local strategy of work for every psychotherapeutic session. Averaging of a number of local “problem profiles” gives an opportunity to develop a general strategy of the multimodal suggestive psychotherapeutic influence.
