¿Musicología o investigación musical?
Journal Title: Revista Académica Estesis - Year 2017, Vol 1, Issue 3
Abstract
The present paper reflects on the epistemological bases on the differentiation between “musicology” and “musical research” established in some documents of the Ministry of Culture of Colombia, and the convenience of using each of these terms in the definition of official policies. In addition, it analyzes the theoretical and practical advantages and disadvantages of both terms, as well as their ideological implications, and tries to elucidate which would be the most appropriate for an adequate development of the discipline in the country.
