MYCOPLASMA HYOPNEUMONIAE INFECTIONS IN PIGS – MEASURES FOR CONTROL (REVIEW)

Abstract
Control of swine enzootic pneumonia involves a wide range of measures including im-munoprophylaxis, therapy and metaphylaxis. The article is dedicated to research in the field of therapy, control of the disease and prevention of bacterial resistance. An overview of antimicrobial therapy men-tions the suitable drugs against M. hyopneumoniae, the optimal dosage regimes and routes of application. Types of vaccines, immunization strategies and some unfavorable factors that influence immunity to swine enzootic pneumonia are being described.
