Nanosized titanium dioxide material. Modulation of spontaneous motility and gaba-dependent regulation of functions of stomach smooth muscles in vivo
Journal Title: Біологічні Студії - Year 2017, Vol 11, Issue 1
Abstract
Electron scanning microscopy was used to obtain the image and identify the size of TiO2 nanoparticles. Using the tenzometric method in the isometric mode, it was established that chronic effect of TiO2 on stomach smooth muscles led to redistribution of the amplitudes of spontaneous contractions in terms of their frequencies. An increase in frequency of their contractions, decrease in the duration of contraction–relaxation cycle, the disturbance of the asymmetry of the duration of contraction–relaxation development, a reduction in Montevideo index of contractions and Alexandria index of contractions were demonstrated. It was also shown the existance of the divergence in numerical values of frequency-amplitude complexes, TiO2-modified spontaneous contractive activity of smooth muscles of stomach and caecum. In the conditions of long-term chronic influence (100 days), TiO2 removes the regulatory mechanisms of depressing a release of inhibition neuromediators from neurons of the intramural nervous interlacement, mediated by GABAА- and GABAС-receptors, in smooth muscles of stomach and caecum.

The results of the analysis of the genetic structure in population systems of green frogs on the territory of Lviv and Volyn regions are presented. The material was collected in 2011–2012 in water bodies representing thr...
Waterfowl of Lutsk district
The waterfowl of the Lutsk district was studied by the author during 1981–2018. 39 species of the waterfowl are registered in the Lutsk district, 13 among them are confirmed on breeding (some of them in some years only),...
Oxygen-transport function of hemoglobin in rats under acute and chronic intoxication chlorpyrifos used in various doses
The paper is dedicated to the results of investigation of the impact of widely used pesticide chlorpyrifos on the oxygen-transport function of hemoglobin in rats. Сhlorpyrifos was administered orally to experimental anim...
Iodine in abiotic and biotic environments
Iodine, a trace element belonging to halogens, is a natural component of the Earth’s environment. However, its distribution in the environmental compartments is uneven and highly variable. Iodine is scarce in soil-formin...
Probiotic properties of bacteria of Lactobacillus genus isolated from the gastrointestinal tract of rabbits
The probiotic properties (antagonistic and adhesion) of lactic acid bacteria isolated from the gastrointestinal tract of rabbits were studied. It was established that the studied antagonistic activity to pathogenic and c...
