Nanosized titanium dioxide material. Modulation of spontaneous motility and gaba-dependent regulation of functions of stomach smooth muscles in vivo
Journal Title: Біологічні Студії - Year 2017, Vol 11, Issue 1
Abstract
Electron scanning microscopy was used to obtain the image and identify the size of TiO2 nanoparticles. Using the tenzometric method in the isometric mode, it was established that chronic effect of TiO2 on stomach smooth muscles led to redistribution of the amplitudes of spontaneous contractions in terms of their frequencies. An increase in frequency of their contractions, decrease in the duration of contraction–relaxation cycle, the disturbance of the asymmetry of the duration of contraction–relaxation development, a reduction in Montevideo index of contractions and Alexandria index of contractions were demonstrated. It was also shown the existance of the divergence in numerical values of frequency-amplitude complexes, TiO2-modified spontaneous contractive activity of smooth muscles of stomach and caecum. In the conditions of long-term chronic influence (100 days), TiO2 removes the regulatory mechanisms of depressing a release of inhibition neuromediators from neurons of the intramural nervous interlacement, mediated by GABAА- and GABAС-receptors, in smooth muscles of stomach and caecum.

Kinetics of relaxation of rat myometrium in conditions of inhibition of plasma membrane calcium pump and systems of active Ca2+ transport of intracellular Ca2+-depot
The processes of regulation of smooth muscle contractile function depend greatly on the efficiency of maintaining Са2+-homeostasis by systems of active ionic transport of the plasma membrane (calcium pump and Na+,Ca2+-ex...
Morphological and chorological characterization of Longidorus intermedius Kozlowska & Seinhorst, 1979 firstly reported from Ukraine with the comments on Longidorus elongatus (de Man, 1876) Thorne & Swanger, 1936
The family Longidoridae Thorne, 1935 is a big taxon of Dorylaimina sub-family. Its species are ectoparasites of vascular plants inhabiting terrestrial biotopes. Longidoridae is one of the most homogeneous groups of Doryl...
The impact of water-soluble C60 fullerenes on the development of acute colitis in rats
Anti-inflammatory drugs are traditionally applied for the treatment of acute colitis of various etiologies. However, they have several disadvantages due to intestinal and extraintestinal complications and lowefficiency....
Oxygen-transport function of hemoglobin in rats under acute and chronic intoxication chlorpyrifos used in various doses
The paper is dedicated to the results of investigation of the impact of widely used pesticide chlorpyrifos on the oxygen-transport function of hemoglobin in rats. Сhlorpyrifos was administered orally to experimental anim...
Juncus dichotomus Elliott (Juncaceae) – new alien plant species for Transcarpathia
Juncus dichotomus Elliott is a new alien species in the Transcarpathian region (Ukraine). Previously, we have shown this species only in Volyn and Zhytomyr regions. We found these species on the northeastern outskirts of...
