NATURAL COMPLEX PECULIARITIES IN COASTAL ZONE OF SEAS

Abstract

The aim of this work is to identify natural features of coastal marine systems, with their hierarchical factors and units within the coastal zone of the seas. This direction in the teaching of landscapes in general not developed, excluding only a small number of primary provisions. Methodology. Methodological basis of the study is a comparative analysis of coastal marine natural territorial systems, on the one hand, and continental natural territorial systems, on the other hand, to highlight the main features and differences between systems within the coastal zone of the sea. To develop the theme of the article a particular importance has the study of the author on coasts of different seas. He investigated the natural territorial systems of different type – abrasion and accumulative, including their characteristics, structure, different dynamics, interaction of the system components and their components. Results. During the current time scientists is working out different chapters on natural complexes of mainland (islands), in oceanic abyssal bottom and between them on natural contact «Land–Ocean». This contact environment is the coastal zone, that contents original intermediate components and elements as a result of interaction between Land and Ocean natural systems. In the article the attempt of comparative analysis was undertook for elucidation of contrasts and properties of shore-marine natural complexes (SMNC), from one side, and from other side – contrasts and properties of continental natural complexes (CNC). The clear boundaries of coastal zone were estimated and discovered its basic properties. Lithodynamical contrasts analysis was carry out in regions of coastal environments. In addition, natural features of sediment movements, sedimentary differentiation and regime of along shore drift flows were detected and estimated. Differences between continental and coastal processes given possibilities of distinguishes between SMNC and CNC. Clean term notion were elaborated for coastal landscape systems in different conditions and regions.
