Abstract
In the article, there have been considered the actual questions of philosophical and methodological preparation of undergraduates and post-graduate students in the modern conditions of essential updating of a science and change of philosophical reflexions over this updating. The possibilities of combining two classes of tasks of modern higher education have been analyzed: first, training of the specialists having deep knowledge and skills in their specialty, and, secondly, the tasks of mastering this and the world outlook as well as methodological culture. The need for introducing a new course for graduate students, designed to adapt modern researchers to work in the new conditions, has been justified. The author's experience of developing and conducting such a course, which includes four main parts, is discussed. In the first part, the content of three basic elements of the simplest epistemological model is discussed as follows: "subject of cognition", "object of cognition", "means of scientific activity". A significant place in this part of the course has been allotted to the concept of rationality, in general, and scientific rationality, in particular. The second part introduces the concept of ethics of science as a philosophical discipline, the subject and task of which is philosophical reflection of moral behavior regarded through subjects of scientific activity. Preliminarily considered are the philosophical and historical-scientific origins of this discipline. The third part is devoted to concretization of the ethics of science by means of describing the moral code of the modern scientist-researcher, while the concept of the scientific ethos by R. Merton is considered, and its limitations in application to the modern conditions of the "Big Science" have been discussed. A brief description of four basic ethical norms of a scientist's behavior is proposed for consideration as well. There have been considered the role of priority and scientific schools in the formation of scientific ethos. The fourth part discusses the relationship between science and modern society in the context of the ideology and ethics of science. The course is also focused at the influence of communist ideology on development of science in the USSR. This course is characterized with the orientation towards achieving a harmonious interaction of scientific and humanitarian-scientific knowledge.
