Journal Title: «Таврійський науковий вісник» - Year 2017, Vol 98, Issue
Abstract
The purpose of the investigations is to characterize and compare the performance of corn hybrids under the Northern Steppe conditions. For this purpose, we studied such structural elements of the yield as ear diameter and length, number of grains per ear and general grain productivity. The results of the studies show that for the Northern Steppe subzone of Ukraine, it is recommended to grow hybrids of the second group according to the classification analysis of grain productivity parameters: NK Thermo, SI Eladium, SI Rotango, NK Lucius and NK Dzhytago. NK Thermo and NK Lucius are the most promising hybrids.
