Abstract
On April 15-17, 2004, on Argeş River, at Găeşti, a high flood was formed, the river flow growing up to a maximum value of 142m3/s on April 15 at 18 o’clock (Căteasca). The of the force of erosion increased significantly deep in the river bed and destroyed the protection threshold downstream and then the pillar situated in the center of the minor river bed and consequently the bridge from Ioneşti.
