A New Proposed Software Engineering MethodologyforHealthcare Applications Development
Journal Title: International Journal of Modern Engineering Research (IJMER) - Year 2013, Vol 3, Issue 3
Abstract
The health Information system is widely expected to increase patient safety and reduce medical errors. Design and implementation of a healthcare system need to consider the software engineering principles and methodologies. In thispaper, a literature reviewhasbeencarriedoutforhealthcaresystemsimplementation. The paper also discusses threecommon software methodologies and their uses in the healthcare domain. A Software Engineering Methodology for Healthcare Applications development (SEMHTA) will be proposed. SEMHTA has been introduced in this paper to solve thehealthcare software development challenges. This paper also provides a comparison between the most common softwareengineering methodologies and the new proposed one.
