ADVENTIVE ROOT STRUCTURE OF SOME DROSERA L. SPECIES

Abstract

Authors underlined few aspects referring to 12 Drosera L. species structure belonging the collection of the ”Alexandru Borza” Botanical Garden of Cluj-Napoca. All the studied species have a primary structure root. The rhizodermis persists or is exfoliated, the exodermis is not organized; the bark consists of several cell rows, ending with a primary or secondary type endodernis. The central cylinder has vascular bundles (xylem and phloem), their number and collocation can be used as an important taxonomic characteristic.
