“An efficient IP trace back using packetizing logging and preshared key exchange”
Journal Title: IOSR Journals (IOSR Journal of Computer Engineering) - Year 2014, Vol 16, Issue 6
Abstract
Abstract: Here in this work we presented a hybrid model of packet marking and logging for the IP trace backfor the node that wants to attack any node in the network. The main idea is to detect the DOS attacks in thenetwork by employing the ip of the attacker node. Here we are implementing the packet marking and the loggingfor the homogenous and the heterogeneous network. Also here we are integrating the concept of pre shared keyexchange on the routers to make the marking of the packets is easy and can increase the efficiency of detectingattacks in the network
