ASPECTE COTIDIENE ALE VIEŢII ÎN CADRUL REŞEDINŢELOR BOIEREŞTI MUNTENE DIN SECOLUL AL XVII-LEA

Abstract
Boierimea secolului al XVII-lea din Muntenia se afişa sub forma unei aristocraţii de dregătorii, ocupată cu activităţi comerciale, dar şi implicată în conducerea administrativ-juridică a ţării. Numărul boierilor s-a redus, în schimbul sporirii întinderilor funciare care le aparţineau, în defavoarea boierimii mici şi mijlocii, la care proprietăţile s–au restrâns, prin pierderea multora dintre ele. Marii boierii, totodată mari dregători, s–au regrupat treptat şi distanţat de boierii fără dregătorii, după cum reiese şi din relatarea lui Radu Şerban asupra venirii sale pe tronul Ţării Româneşti, în care recunoaşte că a fost ajutat de dregătorii domniei sale şi boierii săi.
