Comparative study of IPv4 & IPv6 Point to Point Architecture on various OS platforms
Journal Title: IOSR Journals (IOSR Journal of Computer Engineering) - Year 2013, Vol 13, Issue 5
Abstract
In this thesis, a comparative study on the performance analysis of IPv4 and IPv6 protocol stacks under Microsoft Windows 2007, MAC and Red Hat Linux Enterprise version 4 in point-to-point and router-torouter architectures have been done in terms of bandwidth utilization (throughput) for different data sizes, round trip time (latency) computation and overhead variation calculation. Real-time experiments have beencarried out for the above-mentioned architectures in the laboratory. For point-to-point architecture, three PCs were configured at IPv4 and IPv6 under the Windows, MAC and Linux operating platforms respectively.
