Journal Title: IOSR Journals (IOSR Journal of Computer Engineering) - Year 2015, Vol 17, Issue 2

Abstract

Abstract: Nowadays, the World Wide Web is the collection of large amount of information which is increasingday by day. For this increasing amount of information, there is a need for efficient and effective index structure. The main aim of search engines is to provide most relevant documents to the users in minimum possible time. This paper proposes the indexing structure in which index is built on the basis of context of the documentsrather than on the terms basis using ontology. The context of the document that are being collected by thecrawler is extracted using the context repository, thesaurus and ontology repository and then documents areindexed according to their respective context
