E-Participation Modeling and Developing with Trust for Decision Making Supplement Purpose
Journal Title: International Journal of Advanced Computer Science & Applications - Year 2012, Vol 3, Issue 5
Abstract
ICT has been employed in various areas, including e-Participation to support citizen participation and achieve democracy ideal. Trust as a social behavior can be used as a method to model preferences and facilitate better participation and interaction in a decision making within a group of decision makers. In this paper we present literatures survey related to e-Participation and trust in computer science; we also proposed a Group Decision Support System model and application, which utilizes trust to support decisions in a collaborative team. In brief, the model is based on the synthesis of group members’ preferences following an appropriate aggregation procedure.

A Novel Edge Cover based Graph Coloring Algorithm
Graph Colouring Problem is a well-known NP-Hard problem. In Graph Colouring Problem (GCP) all vertices of any graph must be coloured in such a way that no two adjacent vertices are coloured with the same colour. In this...
A New Reliability Model for Evaluating Trustworthiness of Intelligent Agents in Vertical Handover
Our previous works have proposed the deployment of mobile agents to assist vertical handover decisions in 4G. Adding a mobile agent in the 4G could lead to many advantages such as reduced consumption of network bandwidth...
Impact of Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor on Voltage Profile of Transmission Lines using PSAT
In power system voltage stability is very important in order to maintain the voltage within the defined limits. The demand of electrical power increases in the last decade due to the lack of expansion in the generation a...
Smart City Parking Lot Occupancy Solution
In the context of Smart City projects, the management of parking lots is one of the main concerns of local administrations and of industrial solution providers. In this respect, we have presented an image processing appl...
Task Scheduling Frameworks for Heterogeneous Computing Toward Exascale
The race for Exascale Computing has naturally led computer architecture to transit from the multicore era and into the heterogeneous era. Many systems are shipped with integrated CPUs and graphics processing units (GPUs)...
