Face Detection System on Ada boost Algorithm Using Haar Classifiers
Journal Title: International Journal of Modern Engineering Research (IJMER) - Year 2012, Vol 2, Issue 6
Abstract
This paper presents an architecture for face detection based system on AdaBoost algorithm using Haar features. We describe here design techniques including image scaling, integral image generation, pipelined processing as well as classifier, and parallel processing multiple classifiers to accelerate the processing speed of the face detection system. Also we discuss the optimization of the proposed architecture which can be scalable for configurable devices with variable resources. The proposed architecture for face detection has been designed using Verilog HDL and implemented in Modelsim. Its performance has been measured and compared with an equivalent hardware implementation. We show about 35 time’s increase of system performance over the equivalent hardware implementation.

Effect of Co-pesticide on Adsorption- Desorption Process on Agricultural Soils
This work aim is to study the effect of different co-pesticides as Atrazine and propanil on adsorption processes on agricultural soil samples. The co-pesticides as Atrazine on adsorption behavior of metolachlor [2...
Position Determination of an Aircraft Using Acoustics Signal Processing
This paper deals with the determination of an aircraft position using the acoustic source emitted from it. As per the experimental setup, sound energy emitted from the aircraft is captured with the help of micr...
Bolted Joints Analysis Methods and Evaluation
Calculation of accurate bolt forces is the primary requirement in many industries. All the theoretical calculations for bolt forces, includes many significant assumption based on idealized mechanical models. In...
Optimized Projected Strategy for Enhancement of WSN Using Genetic Algorithms
This paper put forward a new strategy for selecting the most favorable cluster head in Stable Election Protocol (SEP). The planned approach selects a node as cluster head if it has the maximum energy among all the...
