Feature Selection and Extraction for Content-Based Image Retrieval
Journal Title: INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF MATHEMATICS TRENDS AND TECHNOLOGY - Year 2012, Vol 3, Issue 2
Abstract
Content-Based Image Retrieval is a technique that utilizes the visual content of an image to search for similar images in large scale image databases. The visual content of an image represents the low-level features extracted from the image. These primarily constitute color, shape and texture features. The precision of image classification and image retrieval is mainly based on image feature extraction. More distinguished image features will yield better results in classification and retrieval process. Thus feature selection and feature extraction are the important tasks to be considered in image retrieval process. This paper aims to discuss about feature selection and an efficient method for feature extraction is proposed for image retrieval process.

On Predicting the Next Term of a Sequence
When introducing sequences to students, the first skill we teach them is how to predict the next term of a sequence given the first few terms, usually the first three, four or five terms. In this note, we intend to show...
Some Fixed Point Results in Dislocated Quasi-Metric Space
In this paper, we prove some fixed point theorems for different contraction mappings in dislocated quasi-metric space. The results presented in this paper extend and improve several well-known results in the literature....
Common Fixed Points for Generalized Weakly Contractive Mappings in G-Metric Spaces
The existence of points of coincidence and common fixed points for a pair of self mappings satisfying generalized weakly contractive conditions in -metric spaces is proved. Our results are generalization and extension of...
Fekete-Szego Problems Involving Certain Integral Operator
In this paper, we obtain Fekete-Szego inequality for certain normalized analytic function f (z) dened on the open unit disc for which z(J;f(z))0 J;f(z) ; (0 - 1 < 2) lies in a region starlike with respect to 1...
