FORMATION OF RAW MATERIALS BASE OF MILK PROCESSING ENTERPRISES OF CHERKASY REGION

Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of the state of raw materials base of milk processing enterprises of Cherkassy region. The objective of this article is to study the main trends of milk production and the formation of raw materials base of milk processing enterprises in Ukraine and Cherkassy region, to analyze changes in the volume of milk production by farms categories, to determine the effectiveness of resource potential usage in agricultural enterprises of milk product subcomplex of Cherkassy region. It was found in the article that the dairy product market analysis should be conducted sequentially, starting with the first sector (raw), which originate future consumer characteristics of the final product, and ending with the consumer sector, in which the processes of purchase and consumption of the product are carried out. It was determined that the commodity market – is a collection of markets of commodity products which directly form the conditions of purchase and sale. The main participants of the commodity dairy market are agricultural milk producers. The volume of production of the branch products is formed depending on the number of cow population and their productivity. In turn, these indicators are influenced by a number of factors. The main indicators of milk production in Ukraine and Cherkassy region, dynamics of volumes of milk production by farms categories, production structure of dairy products of Cherkassy region were studied. Grouping of agricultural enterprises of Cherkassy Oblast by productivity of dairy herd was done. The efficiency of resource potential usage of agricultural enterprises of milk product subcomplex in Cherkassy region was calculated. The geographic structure of dairy production was considered and determined that in Ukraine the share of processed milk is still much lower than even a worldwide average index. Thus, the efficiency of milk product subcomplex functioning and competitiveness of enterprises within the subcomplex depends primarily on the revival and development of dairy cattle breeding in the region, particularly within the agricultural enterprises. But its further progress is possible under the following conditions: implementation of resource-saving and waste-free production technologies of dairy raw materials and dairy products, which provide savings and increase of resources potential of product subcomplex, introduction of innovative methods of management, increase of intensity of the brunch, increase the productivity of the dairy herd, improving quality and expanding the range of dairy products items, rational use of resources, justification of state regulation and support of all business organizations within the product subcomplex and gaining internal and external markets for finished products and so on.
